TO START WITH

• As this is a forum based on the world of Harry Potter (which includes schooling, money and such) Foul language is to be kept at a minimum, Discussing alcohol and drugs are forbidden (With the exceptions of wizarding drinks like Firewhiskey) and violence shouldn't be very graphic and/or gory. To sum up lets keep this forum PG AT MOST.
  
  
• Grammar and English. Lets start with English. Without intentions of exclusions ALL posts are to be made in English. Proper, no chat speak, English. Yes, you can use French or German etc. words within posts, with reason, provided that a definition is given. Now onto grammar. As, having read this, you may notice my grammar isn't perfect. However using correct grammar helps others understand what you're saying. If you recall "Lets eat Grandma" and "Lets eat, Grandma" you will notice that one key on your keyboard has just changed the meaning of three words.
  So to summarise Correct grammar and English saves lives us from the headache of deciphering your posts.
  Remember also "You are" is "you're" not "your" and if you're unsure which to use it's "You're using your brush" or return to this page as required.
  
  
• Graphics. I'm trying to keep this site a low graphics forum. Meaning that avatars should be 100x100px and sigs should be no more than 200x300px. Keep it small. Any other graphics are to be put in the art section of the forum.
  

NOW TO POSTING

• If you've ever RP'd before you'll understand a 200 word minimum. Anything less than that makes it hard on people who write longer posts. We encourage people here to post with as many words as possible.
  
  
• We have a limit on characters. Unless you can prove you can handle more than 5 characters at once you may have one character per account and 5 characters per person. Your display name is to be changed to that of the character created for the account.
  
  
• Double names. Having two characters named "Sam" can get confusing. So as a general rule any characters with the same first name as an already existing character will NOT be accepted. Alternate spellings of the same name is, however, allowed.
  
  
• Things like God moding, Gary/ Mary Sues aren't allowed. Blah, blah, blah. Be serious guys. We want the characters to be fun and interesting.
  
  
• Keep OOC (Out Of Character chat) to a minimum in your character's post.
  
  
• Characters can be as young as 10 and as old as 100. If your character exceeds those ages they may be accepted within reason. (Characters being dead for example can be infinitely old)
  
  
• For the time being only I, the admin, can accept characters. However as more people join mods will be able to accept characters. If I've posted in the away section the Global Mod will be allowed to accept characters for the duration of my leave.
  
  
• If you don't or can't complete your app put [INCOMPLETE] into the subject line. Incomplete apps will be deleted after 14 days unless you pm me with an acceptable reason. Please save a copy to your computer.
  
  
• Your account will be deleted if you're not active. If you're going away inform us in the provided board. If you don't create a character within 14 days your account will be deleted. If you go away for longer than a month and you don't inform us your characters will be moved to the Dead and Deleted board. Unclaimed "deleted" characters will be permanently deleted after 3 months. At this point your account will be deleted too. DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT JUST TO WHINE. DO NOT GO TO THE CHAT BOX AND WHINE. You were warned and I will not take responsibility for your inability to follow rules
  
  
• Please put [OPEN] in the subject line if the RP is open to all characters or [CLOSED] if you have too many characters in your thread or want to RP with only selected characters and [INCOMPLETE] on posts that you didn't have time to finish.

• Avoid spamming and advertising in the box. Its just not cool.
  
  
• Treat others as you would like to be treated. Seriously. Be nice. Be cool. Don't abuse another person in the chat box
